K12 Future Collaborative: Fall Summit '25

Participation Request Link (Please read details below before completing.)

This fall, join K12 District Administrators from across the Midwest for a three-day summit centered on one of the most important levers for impact: Leadership Development.

As the school year gains momentum, this summit offers a unique space to step back, reconnect with your purpose, and sharpen the skills and mindsets that drive great leadership. With a mix of insightful sessions led by subject matter experts, hands-on workshops, and peer-led conversations, you'll explore how to build stronger teams, cultivate a culture of growth, and lead with clarity through complexity.

We’ll kick things off with a special site visit to White Bear Lake Area Schools (ISD 624)—a district doing incredible, student-centered work worth seeing firsthand. Then, starting at 1:00 PM, the summit begins in full.

Over the three days, you can expect:

  • Expert-led sessions on leadership, strategy, and systems-level thinking

  • Meaningful collaboration with peers who are navigating similar challenges

  • Plenty of time to connect—over good food, informal conversations, and some well-earned fun

  • A space that’s energizing, practical, and grounded in the real work of district leadership

Session Leaders:

Pat Greco is a distinguished leader in education, currently serving as Senior Director for Thought Leadership at Studer Education℠ and as a national executive leadership mentor with AASA (The School Superintendents Association). A staunch champion of continuous improvement, Pat focuses on building organizational, leader, and team capacity through Evidence-Based Leadership.

A retired superintendent, Pat dedicated 38 years to public education, including 17 years as superintendent in Wisconsin. Her tenure was marked by significant achievements: fostering teacher and leadership growth, elevating team performance, and driving crucial organizational outcomes. Under her guidance, her district's team gained state and national recognition, student performance improved from at-risk levels to the top decile, and the district was named a "Top Workplace" for Large Businesses for six consecutive years.

Steve Murley served as Superintendent of Schools for Green Bay Area Public Schools, Iowa City Community School District, and Wausau School District from 2005 through 2022.

Steve has a deep and abiding commitment to public education and developing the next generation of leaders who will serve our students. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the College of Education in the Educational Policy and Leadership Studies Department at the University of Iowa in 2022. Steve has been active as a graduate school adjunct faculty member since 2001 having taught at the University of Iowa in the Educational Policy and Leadership Studies Department, the University of Wisconsin – Superior in the Educational Administration Department, Marian University in the Educational Leadership Department, and the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh in both the Department of Human Services and Professional Leadership and the Department of Educational Foundations.

Recognizing the need for early- and mid-career coaching, mentoring, and support for superintendents, district-level leaders, and school leaders, Steve has worked to provide the scaffolded assistance these leaders need to succeed for over a decade. Beginning in 2013 he has served as the lead instructor for the American Association of School Administrators National Superintendent Certification Program – Midwest Cohort. More recently Steve has begun coaching and mentoring through AASA’s Learning 2025 Learning-Centered Future-Driven Education initiative working with national-level demonstration districts to advance their work individually and collectively. From 2020-24 he served as the lead instructor for the American Association of School Administrators National Superintendent Certification Program – Minnesota.
